Barometric Altimeter utilizes the advanced barometer found in iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPad Air 2 for precise altitude measurements. On devices other than these, the application provides GPS altitude readings.
Users have the option to employ automatic calibration, generally recommended or opt for manual calibration. Manual calibration methods include entering the current altitude, using altitude data from a GPS device, inputting current sea-level air pressure, or utilizing local weather information sourced from the internet specific to the user’s current location.
Furthermore, users have the flexibility to select between meter and feet units for displaying altitude measurements.
